Hi everyone! Poor Mary has been languishing on the sidelines since June when I posted this pic:
I decided she needed some stitching time and that I want to finish her in 2011. Sooooo, over the Christmas holiday I pulled her out and got lots done. I'm hoping to get more done in the upcoming month -- maybe get her finished?? We shall see .....
Sorry for disappearing and leaving you all in the lurch. 2010 was not a very good year and when I wasn't fielding bad news and the after effects, I was gift stitching.
I just completed Part 1. I still have a long way to go!
I am stitching this on 40 count Lakeside Linens Fawn with assorted overdyeds. I am devoting the rest of this month to Mary and hope I can stitch and finish Part 2. We'll see how far I get. I hope you all are giving a little attention to your Marys too.
I definitely hope to have my Mary completed in the first half of 2011.
Welcome to the Mary Wigham USA Stitch-Along Blog. I hope everyone enjoys working on their own Mary while seeing everyone else's progress! It's inspirational to see all the different color combinations being stitched! If there are any questions, please contact Valerie, Group Moderator, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
To be as all inclusive as possible we are suggesting 32 count Permin Lambswool stitched over 2 threads and you will need 24" x 24" or 60cm x 60 cm of linen. (The design area will be approximately 20" x 20" - 50cm x 50cm.) If you are able to stitch smaller, then please do. Mary's sampler is approximately 13" by 12.5" - 33cm x 31.5cm. The stitch count is approximately 300 stitches by 290.
Floss colors: Mary Wigham SAL - DMC Threads Here are the DMC thread shades for Mary Wigham but feel free to convert them to whatever threads you prefer. Also, the main blog page is: http://needleprint.blogspot.com/ On this page, you will see the flags of different countries on the right hand side. Click on them & you will be taken to the Head Girls blog where you can see other countries work!
